【课程介绍】
公众演讲（Public Speaking）
这是演讲和修辞的入门课程。 其目的是让学生希望利用课余时间提高演讲、表达、辩证思维、辩论等能力，并鼓励学生探索超越他们的舒适区域。 学生将了解不同的演讲类型，例如即兴演讲，有说服力的讲话，解读性阅读和议会式辩论。此外，每堂课将介绍新的词汇来帮助同学增加词汇量，通过使用词汇和各种演讲练习来补充和加强学生的学习。
学习重点
- 公共演讲基本技巧 – 如何在正是和非正式公众场合进行沟通
- 公众演讲策略要领 – 发音、身体姿势、节奏、音调、抗压技巧、语句强调
- 公众演讲表达结构 – 规划并运用信息框架蓝图

Ms. Michaels
Ms. Michaels 是BC省认证教师，拥有23年英语教学经验. 拥有SFU文学学士学位.专业领域包括英语（其中最为擅长的是论文写作和语法），Public Speaking（公众演讲）， ESL，社会学，历史及地理。 Ms. Michaels 与她的学生建立了融洽的关系和信任，以帮助他们克服学术挑战从而为有将来进入知名大学做好准备。

【Program Description】
Public Speaking
This program aims to help those people who tend to avoid speaking in front of crowds due to lack of confidence. It is designed for both local and non-native English speakers who would like to become excellent communicators by overcoming their fears and to speak confidently in front of any audience. Sunny Academy’s Public Speaking course is filled with exercises and activities to help students develop stronger and more effective public speaking skills with the ability to contribute their ideas and opinions freely and concisely in public.
What you will learn
- Fundamental public speaking skills – how to communicate formally and informally in public
- Strategies to improve public speaking – articulation, body gesture, pace, pitch and rhythm, pronunciation, stress management, voice, and word emphasis
- Presentation structure – how words fit together: plan (blueprint) and use a framework that refines your message

【Instructor】
Ms. Michaels
- BC Certified Teacher; Tutor with 23 years’ experience; Ms. Michaels has helped many students academically succeed. She holds a Bachelor of Arts; English major & Liberal Arts Certificate from Simon Fraser University (SFU), Technical Writing Certification (SFU), and BC Teacher Certification and History minor (UBCO). She is both an Essay Writing and Grammar expert, and has prepared countless high school students to enter prestigious universities, as well as working with University students. Ms. Michaels establishes rapport and trust with her students to help them to overcome their academic challenges and to become independent learners, leading to a brighter future.
